I’m Mychelle, Chief Visionary Officer for Watercolors By Design.
Art originated as the only vestige to recreate the world around us. It served to help make sense of what stimulated our minds. It has grown as a tactile outlet for visual creativity. It helps maintain a mental playground…a place where our mind retreats to recapture the composure needed to just get through the day. It helps us sort out the complex behaviors and ideas we battle to rein in and understand.
The everyday art movement is all about taking a moment to find art in the simple things that surround us. It is about taking the mundane things we overlook and enjoy the design and feel of the objects that pass through our hands. In the end art is as much of an experience as it is a tangible thing.
I create products for people who desperately want a way to relax and unplug while still making a difference. I help them turn a busy life into an inspired one.
Blending art, design, and engineering I work to capture a moment in time that makes you pause. It's these pauses that can change the world. Every creative endeavor produced by Watercolors By Design aims to refocus your day…to think about something that doesn’t require a deadline…to travel to another place free of rent and responsibility.

When I am not designing, painting, teaching, or writing… I am raising awareness for human rights and girls in science.
